PEAK NEWS: Winter Edition
2005-06 Season
It's almost that time again...Vail Mountain opens in just a few weeks on November 18th. We've already had a couple of big snows & the snowmaking guns are going full force. THINK SNOW!

New Employees This Season
Please join us in welcoming Sally Slaughter & Christian Quintana to the PRSI family. Sally is originally from Texas and moved to Vail last winter. You'll see her at the front desk as our new concierge. Please feel free to contact her regarding any of your guest service needs. Christian is joining us from California and taking over as Houseman. Both are welcome additions to our staff so please stop by to say "hello" the next time you are in town.
WiFi @ Lodge at Lionshead
This fall, Phase I is adding Wireless Internet (WiFi) access throughout the building. Once complete, Lodge at Lionshead will proudly offer complimentary WiFi access in all condominiums on the property.
Lodge at Lionshead Renovation
The Phase I & II Owners Associations voted at their annual meetings this past July to approve a $10 million renovation. The project will start in 2007 and includes a fire-sprinkler system retrofit, complete exterior remodel, new pool & hot tub, heated walkways & parking areas and lobby & common area renovations. As many as 20-25 owners have indicated that they will take this opportunity to renovate their individual condominiums, as well.

Current Real Estate Market
Vail's real estate market has been on a tear over the last 18 months, but no property has been as hot as Lodge at Lionshead. Values at the Lodge have appreciated over 60% during this time period. Keep in mind that the new buyers are responsible for upcoming project assessments, as well. These sales prove that Lionshead buyers are willing to pay a premium for properties headed in the right direction. More information regarding these sales can be found on our website. Vail Building Project Updates
Conference Center
On the ballot November 8, Vail Town Council is asking voters for additional funding for the Center through another increase in lodging tax. Due to escalating construction costs and rising interest rates, the cost of building the center as designed is currently more than the funds available for construction. In November 2002, voters approved increases in Vail lodging and sales taxes for the purpose of financing the construction $64 million conference center.
Vail's Billion Dollar Renewal
All projects appear to be on schedule with Montaneros re-opening this month and the Tivoli, Sonnenalp Expansion & One Willow Bridge Road to be completed early this season. Expect to see continued construction in Lionshead on The Arrabelle at Vail Square, but have no fear - everything in Lionshead will be open for business & Lodge at Lionshead will have unrestricted access to the gondola, chairlift, ski school & ticket windows during this process.
