Snow has returned with a vengeance to Vail!  Sunday morning we woke up to 9 inches of fluff on Vail Mountain and it continued to snow all day for an additional 10 inches on Monday morning.  Needless to say the Lodge at Lionshead guests were very happy!  I skied Sunday and even with just 9 inches the conditions were incredibly different.  Groomed runs were covered in powder and runs that were not groomed were thigh-deep in some places.  It was AMAZING!  My group of friends and I had a ball and skied 'til our legs couldn't take it anymore. 

Word in the weather world is that El Nino is on the way out and February/ March will prove to be good snow months.  We'll keep our fingers crossed so that we get more days like January 24 pictured below! (courtesy of Vail Resorts, Inc.)
