We at Lodge at Lionshead are constantly striving to improve. This includes improving our level of service, improving our product and improving the way we do things.
A few years ago, we started seriously looking at how our business affects the environment and began making changes where we could. Our office has substantially decreased its use of paper and we recycle what we do use. We purchase supplies made with recycled materials and try to repurpose items if possible – i.e. old guest towels become cleaning rags for housekeeping. There are recycling stations in our office and in each of our buildings. We use fluorescent bulbs wherever we can on the property. We only change sheets every few days in our rental condos and participate in a program that allows guests to save their towels from day to day and not have them replaced if they choose to do so. We suggest that our owners replace old appliances with Energy Star appliances.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. We’ll continue to find better ways to do things and help the environment at the same time. Ultimately, the environment in Vail is why we live here and we want to do everything we can to protect it. Happy Earth Day!
