While Colorado often boosts of having 300 days of sunshine each year, there is always going to be an occasional rainy day. Rain may not be the most preferable weather, but there are some positives. It helps keep fire danger low, keeps our mountains green and covered in gorgeous wildflowers and provides cooler temps.

Spa Day – Why not get pampered? You deserve it! You already feel relaxed, don’t you?
Tour the Colorado Snowsports Museum – Its priceless artifacts tell the story of the birth, rise and explosion of skiing and snowboarding in Colorado. Displays showcase 130 years of skiing history, the 10th Mountain Division, Colorado Snowsports Hall of Fame and more.
Enjoy a leisurely lunch at one of Vail’s world-class restaurants – Why not linger? There’s no reason to rush off for that hike or bike ride. Have another glass of wine. Get dessert. You can burn it off when the sun comes back out.
Go bowling at bōl – bōl’s sleek and modern design is one-of-a-kind. It is not only the most chic bowling alley you will ever experience, it also serves up delicious food and drink.
Go shopping for a great piece of art – Vail and Beaver Creek have numerous art galleries with incredible paintings, sculptures, sketches and more.
Tour Glenwood Caverns – It’s an hour drive, but well worth it. It won’t be raining in the caves and kids love this!
Visit the Vail Library – Not only does it have books, magazines and a cozy lounge area with fireplace. It also offers a library of DVDs available for check-out. Movie night!
