Signature Fall Events in Vail
Days are still sunny and gorgeous, but weather gets a little cooler in the mountains. We love it when fall is in the air!
Fall is one of our favorite seasons in Vail. You can enjoy beautiful weather and the gorgeous golden leaves of the aspen trees along with great signature events. Here are a few of our favorites:
Gourmet on Gore
Celebrate Labor Day weekend at this unique culinary festival. Gourmet on Gore is an open-air tasting with world-class wine, beer and spirits paired with culinary delights from Vail’s top restaurants. Admission is free and a variety of additional pairing events are offered at various price points. It also features live music and lively people watching in the heart of Vail Village!
Lionshead & Vail Oktoberfests
Come for one or come for both! Lionshead Oktoberfest takes place the weekend after Labor Day in nearby Vail Square. Lodge at Lionshead is just a two-minute walk from all of the festivities. Vail Oktoberfest is the following weekend in Vail Village. Both are “oompah” celebrations done Vail-style, with live bands, dancing, keg bowling, brat eating contests and German beer, of course!
Fall Wine & Food Classic
Explore and sample amazing Southern Hemisphere wine at the Fall Wine & Food Classic Grand Tasting Event at the Gerald Ford Amphitheater in Vail. Local restaurants provide delicious tastings and guests can enjoy a picnic-style event on the grass with live music while taking in the gorgeous Vail scenery and fall colors. The Grand Tasting features more than 50 wineries and 13 restaurants from the Vail Valley.
Vail-Beaver Creek Restaurant Week
With participating restaurants spanning across two neighboring world-class resorts, Vail and Beaver Creek, this culinary celebration takes dining to new heights! The events feature a wide variety of specials all starting at $20 and showcasing the incredible and diverse culinary offerings available throughout the Vail and Beaver Creek Villages. Reservations are highly encouraged.
