Fourth of July in the Vail Valley
It’s going to be a busy week in Vail, Colorado. July 4th is historically the busiest week of the summer and with all of the holiday events planned, it’s easy to see why. The Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival begins this week and each town in the Valley has its own version of July 4th festivities. That means you could see fireworks in Vail, Avon, Beaver Creek or Eagle and attend any number of parades, picnics and concerts. However, if you must narrow your celebration to the best of the best – here’s what we suggest:
Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa Salute to the USA – Friday, July 3 from 5 – 10:30pm in Avon
All events take place around beautiful Nottingham Lake. Food vendors, beer tents, Family Fun Zone are a few of the highlights. The band, Foghat, takes the stage at 8pm and the Colorado Rocky Mountain’s LARGEST fireworks display starts at 9:45pm. With over 10,000 shells exploding over the lake, it is truly spectacular!
Vail America Days – Saturday, July 4 throughout the day in Vail
The day gets started with the Vail America Days parade at 10am. Spectators line the streets from Vail Village to Lionshead as floats, bands, motorcades and more make the trek from Golden Peak to Lionshead. You don’t want to miss Vail’s Lawn Chair Drill Team either! At 1pm, catch a performance by the Inner City Educational Foundation & Washington Prep Jazz & Marching Band in Lionshead Plaza. At 2pm, there is a Patriotic Concert by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail. Fireworks at Golden Peak start at 9:45pm.
