“Where Exactly is the Lodge at Lionshead?”

This is our most asked question from our customers. They’ve usually been to Vail before, but can’t quite picture where we are located.

Lodge at Lionshead sits along scenic Gore Creek a short 100 yards from the Eagle Bahn gondola. We also like to tell people that we are just on the east side of Lionshead Plaza. At this point, most folks have figured out our geographic location, but the Lodge is so much more than just a spot on the map.

Lodge at Lionshead has one of the best locations in Vail – summer or winter. I know you think we’re biased, but once you’ve been here you’ll see why. We are surrounded by towering pine trees, aspens, lush greenery and wildflowers in the summertime. And that’s just in our backyard. You can see Vail Mountain and Gore Creek from the south side of the property. It’s lovely to sit outside at one of our picnic tables for lunch just to listen to the creek rush by.

The pedestrian path sits right outside our back gate. Go right on the path to access the gondola and chairlift for skiing and riding in the winter. It takes you to Epic Discovery, the gondola and hiking trailheads on Vail Mountain in the summer. Go left and you’ll find picnic tables right on the creek and the Vail Library. If you have kids, Vail Library is a hidden treasure with its reading/ game room and story hour. Across from the Library, you’ll find Dobson Ice Arena which offers not only skating and hockey, but also events and concerts. Continue on and you’ll reach Vail Village in a block or two.

Our location is wonderful because it is not surrounded by stores or restaurants. It is quiet and scenic, but still incredibly convenient to all sorts of great things in the area. Once guests have rented a vacation condo here, they always come back for more.
