In the Spring: Signature Events

Spring is one of our favorite times of the year. Days start to get longer, the weather a little bit warmer, and snow a little softer. In other words, perfect conditions for spring skiing! Visit Vail in the spring for fun on-mountain events and to celebrate Vail Mountain’s Closing Day in April.

Vail Mountain Closing Day

Vail Mountain’s Closing Day takes place in mid-April each year and celebrates the end of an awesome winter season!

Vail Whitewater Race Series

Take part in the thrilling Vail Whitewater Race Series. Participants can race via kayak, SUP, or two-person raft. Great spectating, too!


In the Summer: Signature Events

Vail Farmers’ Market & Art Show | June – October 

The Vail Farmers’ Market & Art Show takes place every Sunday in the summertime. Buy fresh local produce, peruse art and artisan crafts, and take part in the family fun! Check out their Farm to Table Dinner Series events, as well. 

Bravo! Vail Music Festival | June – August 

Patron of the arts? Then you will love the Bravo! Vail Music Festival. Enjoy performances by world-class orchestras like the New York Philharmonic in a beautiful outdoor setting.  

Vail Jazz Party | August – September

The Vail Jazz Party hosts over 50 performances throughout a 10-week timeframe! Get your fill of jazz, blues, swing, salsa, Latin, and more.

GoPro Mountain Games is the country’s most celebrated festival of adventure sport, art and music, and Vail’s official kick off to summer.

Vail Craft Beer Classic

The Vail Craft Beer Classic pairs beer with adventure! Enjoy hundreds of curated craft beers while enjoying the great outdoors of Colorado. 

King of the Mountain Open

The King of the Mountain Open is one of the longest-running sporting events in Vail! This volleyball tournament takes place over Father’s Day weekend. 

Vail Arts Festival

Vail & Lionshead Oktoberfests

Enjoy two full weekends of the Vail and Lionshead Oktoberfest celebrations! If you’re in the mood for beer, music, and Bavarian fun, you won’t want to miss this. 

Vail Automotive Classic

Every year, the Vail Automotive Classic draws people from all over the country. At this multi-day event, you’ll see everything from modern racecars to vintage motorcycles.
