If you want to see what the mountains and canyons surrounding Vail look like in the summer, there’s no better way than a zipline tour through them! Vail has a couple of different tour options available with different lengths and different scenery. Here’s everything you need to know before you go.

Zip Adventures – Ziplining in the Canyons

Imagine ziplining through the canyons near Vail, ending by the Eagle River. This is what Zip Adventures of Vail is all about. Located in Wolcott, CO near 4 Eagle Ranch, Zip Adventures provides a unique experience from start to finish and is one of the top ten ziplines in the world! You will want to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your tour time so the guides can equip you with a safety harness, helmet and gear needed for the adventure. After everyone in the group is ready to go, you will take a short trip in a 1974 model Pinzauger to get to the zipline course. Before the tour begins, your guide will demonstrate a quick safety briefing. After this, you’re ready to zip down the course which includes 6 ziplines crossing the canyon and the canyon plunge (the plunge is optional). It is definitely an adrenaline rush! You can expect to be on the tour for approximately 2.5 hours. Water and snacks are provided.

Epic Discovery – Ziplining on Vail Mountain

Epic Discovery has a few different zipline options to choose from. If you’ve got young kids, the Little Eagle Zipline is perfect. It is designed for kids 3 and older and will get your young one ready for the big ziplines one day! The Golden Eagle Zipline, for adults, is a bit more of a thrill. On this zipline, you get to see a unique view of the Vail Valley.

Epic Discovery’s most iconic zipline is the Game Creek Zipline Tour. With 7 ziplines plus aerial bridges going down Game Creek Bowl, you’ll get to see stunning scenery and views down valley towards the town of Avon. The tour is over 2 miles long and usually takes about 3-4 hours to complete. You’ll learn different facts about the mountain as your guide takes you through and above the pine-scented forests. Although there is not a specific height requirement for this tour, participants must be at least 10 years of age or older and weight between 90 and 250 pounds.
